分析动物各年龄组的种群数据有助于推断影响动物种群发展趋势的诸因素,而且便于设计出种群层次。然而,在研究近期文献资料时,我们发现存在三种错误。这些错误均可导致非正确的解释。即:1)在生命表分析中,将Sx与lx等同(Sx由各死亡年龄组推导而出,lx为存活率);2)在综合跨年龄组的成雌生育率时,不计算该年龄组的成雌死亡数;3)在用Leslie矩阵计算周限增长率时,以mx取代Fx。我们将探讨上述错误的含义及后果,并提出解决方法。 相似文献

IntroductionPerson-centered care (PCC) includes life story, a form of reminiscence therapy that can be useful in the treatment of dementia. We compared the efficacy of using a digital or conventional life story book (LSB) on depressive symptoms, communication, cognition, and quality of life.Material and methodsThirty one persons with dementia living in 2 PCC nursing homes were randomly assigned to receive reminiscence therapy based on the Neural Actions digital LSB (n = 16) or a conventional LSB (n = 15). Both groups performed 2 weekly sessions of 45 min for 5 weeks. Depressive symptoms were evaluated with the Cornell scale (CSDD); communication with the Holden scale (HCS), cognition with the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and quality of life with the quality of life scale for Alzheimer's (QoL-AD). The results were analyzed using ANOVA of repeated measures with the jamovi 2.3 program.ResultsBoth LSB improved communication skills (η2 = 0.115; p < 0.001), with no differences between groups. No effects on quality of life, cognition, or mood were found.ConclusionsIn PCC centres digital or conventional LSB can be useful in the treatment of people with dementia by facilitating communication. 通过对新疆野核桃自然保护区丛生野核桃(Juglans regia)进行普查,以径级结构代替年龄结构,采用匀滑技术编制种群静态生命表,并运用时间序列模型预测种群数量动态,从而获得丛生野核桃树的龄级结构与动态。结果表明,不同坡向丛生野核桃以中龄级为主,年龄结构呈两头小中间大的纺锤型;4个坡向种群年龄结构的动态指数Vpi虽大于0,但最大仅为19.10%,且Vpi’极低,最大为1.12%,阳坡种群增长趋势最高,抗干扰能力最强,种群稳定性最好,半阳坡种群增长趋势最弱,抗干扰能力最弱,种群稳定性最差;各坡向种群均存在多个死亡高峰,阳坡最高峰在15龄级,半阳坡在15和18龄级,阴坡和半阴坡均在9龄级,存活曲线更接近Deevey-Ⅱ型;在未来2、5、10龄级后,中龄级个体数量减少,老龄个体呈增加趋势,丛生野核桃种群稳定性难以长期维持。因此对丛生野核桃幼苗的保护非常关键。 相似文献

Abstract. In an effort to identify ‘plant functional types’, the islands floras of Great Britain and Kríti (Crete, Greece) were examined separately for ecological correlates of plant range size. Plant functional types (PFTs) were defined here as categories into which plants could be grouped on the basis of attributes that predict greater or lesser sensitivity to ecological variability. Plant range size indicates commonness of a species and was assumed to be a proxy for ‘ecological flexibility’, i.e. species of larger range sizes can better withstand environmental change and differences than species of smaller range sizes. Using evolutionary comparative methods that account for the effect of taxonomic relatedness, both floras were investigated for the effects on range size of woodiness vs. non-woodiness, trees vs. shrubs, trees vs. herbs and shrubs vs. herbs. The British flora was examined additionally for the effects of wind- vs. non-wind-pollination, self vs. animal pollination and animal vs. non-animal fruit dispersal on range size. Two analyses showed significant effects on range size: for British species, trees had larger ranges than shrubs, and wind- pollinated species had larger ranges than non-wind-pollinated species. It is suggested that the lack of a similar pattern for shrubs and trees in Kríti is because the lower water availability of Kríti imbues shrubs with an ecophysiological advantage not relevant in plants of Great Britain. That trees have larger range sizes than shrubs in Great Britain is ascribed to the greater importance of competition for light when other factors are not at issue. The greater range of wind-pollinated than non-windpollinated species in Great Britain is postulated to be because both mutualists must be capable of invading new areas. This may be termed a ‘cost of mutualism’. In terms of PFTs, the results indicate that ‘life-form’ is too broad a classification category by which to differentiate relative sensitivity to environmental variability in Great Britain, in that there were significant differences in range size of trees and shrubs, but not between either of the two categories and herbs, or between woody and non-woody plants. Although pollination type may predict relative sensitivity to variation in Great Britain, dispersal type will not. Finally, differences between Great Britain and Kríti in relative range size patterns suggests that plant functional types may be specific to a region or set of conditions. 相似文献

Abstract. Previous studies on secondary succession in abandoned agricultural land in the Mediterranean area were carried out by the chronosequence method, including data from different sites. A unique opportunity to study secondary succession arose from a situation in which different parts of one homogeneous East-Mediterranean vineyard were abandoned for 5, 8, 15 and 35 yr, and did not suffer from any disturbance subsequently. Most of the perennial species that colonized the abandoned vineyard were fleshy fruited species, which apparently were dispersed by birds from the surrounding maquis into the vineyard. These bird-dispersed species were the first to be established, and were the dominant plant group according to dispersal modes. The abandoned vine plants and their supporting columns provided the birds with perching and feeding sites, enhancing the arrival of bird-dispersed species regardless of their life forms. Under these conditions the most important attribute that affected vegetation dynamics was seed dispersal mode. Trees were among the first to colonize in the vineyard, implying that no facilitation was needed for their establishment. Annual plant species were the only species to disappear during succession. Almost all perennial species which had arrived persisted in the vineyard, and no replacement of perennial species was found. The rate of succession was rapid, as expressed by the short time (8–15 yr) needed for the stabilization of species composition, for growth to average height of late succession trees, and for reaching high cover of the invading perennial species in the abandoned vineyard. The secondary succession described above differs from that in the western Mediterranean by the absence of perennial species replacement and its rapid rate. The possible causes are discussed. 相似文献

Believing, for good reasons, that our Universe engenders the occurrence of Life, it is probable that Life appeared more than once on young planet Earth. The universality of our genetic code indicates though, that only one line produced a population that was cellular, autopoietic, responsive intelligently (i.e., to its advantage) to its environment, and capable of reproduction. Its evolution took time during which other intermediate or incipient forms of life disappeared. Trying to retrace ab initio the preceding chemical evolution on our young planet, we may not repeat the chemistry which led to our line. One can argue that it may be profitable to attempt to construct artificial life forms using the kind of building blocks that we learned to know through studying the chemistry of our life. Independently, computers are being built, or are planned, which possess memory that can be used appropriately (intelligently), and which to some extent can repair and reproduce themselves. Such Life does not depend on our biochemistry. However, these machines do perform as yet only partly along the lines of our human intelligence which is guided by self-awareness and a sense of individual integrity, and are thereby not equipped to search for Understanding and Self-expression. 相似文献

The food web centering on Allium ursinum (Liliaceae) in a beech forest (Germany) is described, and temporal variation of active trophic links is related to species' life cycles. The most important insect herbivores are Cheilosia fasciata (a larval leaf miner) and Portevinia maculata (a larva bulb miner) (Diptera: Syrphidae). Energy, carbon and nitrogen flow in the food chain (Allium-Cheilosia-Phygadeuon ursini) are investigated and analysed with respect to differences in resource allocation by the leaf miner and its hymenoptereous parasitoid. In C. fasciata nitrogen is likely to be the limiting resource, while growth in Phygadeuon ursini appears energy-limited. Larval feeding habits of C. fasciata and Portevinia maculata determined the timing of the species' life cycles and, as a consequence, appeared to preclude the existence of a pupal parasitoid in Portevinia maculata. An analytical model, based on unsaturated zone water and solute balances, was developed to describe the uptake of saline groundwater
by plants in dry regions. It was assumed that: i. initially, the profile had low water and salt contents to some depth; ii.
both water and solutes move upwards from the water table by piston flow due only to plant water extraction; iii. the uptake
of water concentrates solutes in the soil solution until some threshold salinity is reached, above which plants can no longer
extract water due to osmotic effects; iv. uptake of the groundwater does not affect the water table level; and v. uptake of
groundwater is only limited by transmission of groundwater through the soil. Model predictions were compared with measurements
of groundwater uptake made over 15 months at five sites in aEucalyptus forest in a semi-arid area, using independently measured model parameters. Depth and salinity of groundwater, and soil type
varied greatly between sites. Predicted groundwater uptake rates were close to measured values, generally being within ∼ 0.1
mm day-1. Sensitivity analysis showed that groundwater depth and salinity were the main controls on uptake of groundwater, while soil
properties appeared to have a lesser effect. The model showed that uptake of groundwater would result in complete salinisation
of the soil profile within 4 to 30 yr at the sites studied, unless salts were leached from the soil by rainfall or flood waters.
However, a relatively small amount of annual leaching may be sufficient to allow groundwater uptake to continue. Thus groundwaters,
even when saline, may be important sources of water to plants in arid and semi-arid areas. 相似文献
